I can't believe we really made this cake. This is our very first banana cake, and it came out absolutely perfect.
I was always afraid of baking so I never tried it . It was always my elder sis who used to do baking but my lil sister wanted to bake something in her Christmas holidays so we decided to try our hand at a very simple recipe from her baking notes and we chose this banana cake. The recipe was really simple and the outcome was great!!

Ingredients :
- All-purpose flour/maida - 1 cup
 - Ripe Banana - 1
 - Butter - 1/2 cup
 - Baking powder - 1 tsp
 - Eggs - 2
 - Sugar - 3/4 cup
 - Milk - 1 tbsp
 - Vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp
 - Salt - a pinch
 
Method :
- Blend the banana well with 1 tbsp of milk and keep aside.
 - Cream the butter and sugar together until soft and the sugar has blended well.
 - Add the eggs and beat until well combined.
 - Add the blended banana and mix well.
 - Now add the vanilla extract , pinch of salt, baking powder and mix .
 - Then add the flour in small batches and carefully fold into the banana mixture, once incorporated repeat with the remaining flour.
 - Transfer to a greased tin and bake in a pre-heated oven at 350F/180C for 40-45 mins until a tooth pick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
 - Let it cool down to room temperature.
 - Cut into slices and enjoy.
